The origin of the Tanchoi technique can be traced back to China. After a long journey, it finally found its home in the land of weaves, Benaras, where it was revived and flourished, giving rise to a myriad of intricate designs. Tanchoi quickly became synonymous with regality and elegance, celebrated for its unique satin finish that imparts a soft, lustrous texture.
Originally, these satin-finish sarees were thick, but over the years, various experiments and innovations by skilled weavers led to the development of a much lighter drape, making them not only beautiful but also more comfortable to wear.
Composition: Pure Katan Silk in warp and Pure Katan Silk in weft
