'Mehrab Gulab'

An intricate geometric border along with classic rose buttas make this black sari for any traditional ceremony. The vibrancy of red roses complements the black color, making the zari work stand out. Meticulously crafted roses with the Kadhua technique on the anchal, enclosed within the Mehrab, give this sari an absolute regal look. Detailed Minakari embellishments only elevate its ethereal quality.

Making Time: 33 Days
Craft: Minakari and Kadhua or Kadwa, which means kadha hua or embroidered. This is a laborious method of weaving motifs independently onto the fabric and thus, there are no loose threads on the back. Using this technique, a variety of motifs of different sizes, colors and textures can be woven onto the garment. And while it may take four to five weeks to get the piece ready on the handloom, the final product is exquisite.
Composition: Pure Katan Silk in warp and Pure Katan Silk in weft
