'Sartaaj' Pitambari Tanchoi Benarasi Handloom Jacket


A Kimono-style puffed sleeved ethnic handcrafted jacket that is perfect for any traditional occasion. The elaborative Zari work is crafted into jail patterns, giving this piece a contemporary look. The graceful printed fuchsia lining certainly stands out, bringing in the feminine touch. You can definitely style this with heavy saris as well, this jacket looks absolutely stunning when paired with one of our black colored sari.

Craft: Tanchoi, and Brocade. The origin of Tanchoi technique can be traced back to China. Taking a long route to India, it finally found its special place in the land of weaves Benaras where it was revived and thrived with myriad designs.
Tanchoi soon became synonymous with regality and elegance. Its unique feature is its satin finish making it soft and lustrous.
However, originally these satin finish saris were thick but different experiments over the years finally led to a much lighter drape in the hands of skilled weavers.
Composition: Pure Katan Silk in warp and Pure Katan Silk in weft
